S&S Camshaft Kit for Harley Davidson Milwaukee Eight
Camshaft installation for HD M8 including all required bearings, o-rings and hardware. Gear drive cams comes with all gears required to convert from chain drive. The gear driven cams provide improved valve timing accuracy and more mechanical sound, when compared to chain driven cams.
For best performance it is, like with all performance cams, recommended to use a free breathing air cleaner and exhaust system.
With each cam change S&S recommends installing their precision tappet assembly set. Although only required for 540, 550 and 590 we highly recommend replacing the pushrods with S&S Quickee pushrods as it will save you massive amounts of time. This is also a good moment to upgrade from the stock plastic tappet anti-rotation devices to S&S billet aluminum tappet cuffs as these capture the tappets without impacting vertical motion and keeping them perfectly aligned, even in high stress, high RPM situations.

350 Camshaft
- Bolt-in. Compatible with all stock valve train components
- 350 gear drive cam has stock specifications, but eliminates cam drive chain and tensioner

465 Camshaft
- Bolt-in. Compatible with all stock valve train components
- 465 is a high torque cam, recommended for Touring as it adds low end pull
- 465 cams provide increased torque and horsepower
- Available in both gear drive and chain drive
475 Camshaft
- Bolt-in. Compatible with all stock valve train components
- Bolt-in 100 horsepower! (when combined with performance intake and exhaust)
- Designed for bolt-in applications on 107”/114” motors, compatible with all stock valve train components
- Available in both gear drive and chain drive
540 Camshaft
- Recommended for Big Bore Touring bikes as it adds a lot of low end torque
- 540 cam powerband further enhances massive torque output of the popular 124” and 128” Big Bore Kits
- Available in both gear drive and chain drive

550 Camshaft
- 550 is an ideal horsepower cam for 114” and larger Big Bore engines
- 550 cam is a higher lift version of the 475 for higher RPM power
- Available in both gear drive and chain drive
- Requires adjustable pushrods and heavy duty valve springs. S&S Recommends Quickee pushrod & cover kit and S&S .605" heavy duty valve spring kit.
590 Camshaft
- All-out horsepower cam for 124” and larger engines
- Designed specifically for use with monster bores and ported heads (not recommended for stock bore engines)
- 590 cam powerband is weighted to top end performance, peaking past the redline of a stock motor
- Available in both gear drive and chain drive
- Requires adjustable pushrods and heavy duty valve springs. S&S Recommends Quickee pushrod & cover kit and S&S .605" heavy duty valve Spring kit.
