EBC Organic Rear Brake Pads for Harley Davidson
The organic EBC brake pads have great predictable stopping power and benefit from low disc abrasion and dust. They are brake rotor friendly but a bit slower to brake in wet conditions compared to sintered brake pads. These organic brake pads are ECE R 90 brake safety test approved.
- All brake pads come in sets of 2 brake pads.
- Organic brake pads are generally recommended for pre -99 Harley Davidson models.

What is the difference between Sintered and Organic brake pads?
Organic Brake Pads

- Provides predictable stopping power.
- Generates less noise.
- Gentle on brake rotors due to softer materials like aramid.
- Economically priced.
- Excellent choice for casual cruising.

- Takes longer to grip in wet conditions.
- Prone to 'glazing' when exposed to high temperatures.
- Has a shorter lifespan compared to sintered pads.
- Produces more brake dust.
Sintered Brake Pads

Pros:
- Lasts longer than organic variants.
- Superior heat resistance.
- Quick response in both wet and dry conditions.
- Outstanding stopping performance.
- Ideal for aggressive riding styles and all-weather situations.

Cons:
- Metal particles in the pads can accelerate brake rotor wear.
- Not suitable for older brake rotor models unless they're certified for sintered pads, to avoid excessive rotor wear.
Summary
We recommend the use of sintered brake pads for all motorcycles manufactured after 1999, and also for earlier models if they are equipped with a brake disc designed for sintered brake pads. If your motorcycle was manufactured in 1999 or before and you are uncertain about the type of brake disc, it's best to choose organic brake pads.
